A balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea

Anyone who wishes to live as close as possible to Monaco arrives at Beausoleil; also known as Monaco\’s entrance.

Overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, Beausoleil evokes with authenticity and refinement the lifestyle of the Monegasque coast. Renowned for the charm of its narrow and flowered streets, the city is very popular for its magnificent views, which are offered by its dominant position on the coast. The quality of its standing is supported by its exceptional location, bordering Monte-Carlo and in the immediate and ultra-residential environment of Monaco, classified among the most expensive in the world.

Belle Epoque architecture and mediterranean atmosphere

Lovers of the Belle Époque will be delighted at Beausoleil. While walking through the historic district of the city centre, passing by the Boulevard de la République, they will have the opportunity to contemplate a \”Belle Époque\” architecture dating back to the years 1870-1920. We find richly decorated facades, with bow windows, corbels, balconies with balusters or wrought iron that have preserved their original colour.

Riviera Palace

In 1898, while Camille Blanc was president of the “Société des Bains de Mer”, the “Compagnie Internationale de Grands Hôtels et Wagons-lits” undertook the construction of the luxurious Riviera Palace hotel, based on the plans of the architect Georges Chedanne Grand Prix de Rome in 1887, and prime contractor of the Palace Hotel, avenue des Champs Elysées and Hôtel Mercedes, 9 rue de Presbourg in Paris.

The Riviera Palace with its elegant south-facing facade and balconies with balusters was completed in 1903.

Built upon two levels, the Riviera Palace winter garden is exceptional in its size, covering an area of more than 900m² and up to 20m high. This winter garden has a gallery and rotunda, ogival vault and dome, stone, glass and rock walls.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Riviera Palace, located 180 metres above the sea, welcomed, along with the prestigious Hôtel de Paris, the rich Russian, Austro-Hungarian and then English clientele.

Leopold II, King of the Belgians, the imperial family of Russia, the Shah of Persia, the great Russian dancers and musicians Diaguilev, Nijinsky, Stravinsky, or the woman of letters Colette and Winston Churchill stayed at Riviera Palace.

The building has been listed as a historic monument since December 14, 1989.
